Today is Day One…
…of a fast I’ve been planning for the past couple of months. I’m super excited and embracing the healing that comes through this transformation.
Plus they’ll be more Green Juice than I can drink!
So like you, I like to start my day a certain way – in peace and goodness!
A few stretching & breathing exercises, sprinkles of lavender oil in the shower, hot dance moves to my theme music — you do have your own theme music right?
Of course you do, and if you don’t, think of the songs that really move you.
Any time I start a fast, I create a new vision for my life.
Every vision needs a good theme song.
A few I’ve had are:
Golden, by Jill Scott, Vision Theme | Life Is Beautiful
I Had A Revelation, by the Agape International Choir, Vision Theme | I Am Powerful
What A Beautiful World, Donald Fagan, Vision Theme | Healing Is Sexy
Do you have a theme song?
Practice of the Day
Today’s practice comes from Acts of Faith by Iyanla Vanzant.
Print this off and post it to your mirror.
If you inhale and exhale these words twice a day (once in the morning and again before bed), you’ll have a powerful relaxation practice that will cleanse your mind, detox your body, and awaken your divinity — one breath at a time.
Don’t just read the words, Inhale and Exhale each sentence!
What a wonderful gift of life.
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale Exhale.
The beginning and the end.
Inhale peace, exhale confusion — it is just that simple.
Inhale faith, exhale worry — that is all you have to do.
Inhale order, exhale confusion — get into the flow of life.
Inhale love, exhale anger — feel the warmth flow through your being.
Inhale strength, exhale fear — now put your mind to rest.
Inhale silence, exhale chatter — feel your body settle.
Inhale freedom, exhale restriction — let your mind follow the dream.
Inhale victory, exhale defeat — prepare yourself for the best.
Inhale acceptance, exhale judgment — feel your self opening.
Inhale confidence, exhale doubt — enjoy the rhythm of who you are.
Breath is the gift of grace.
As long as we have it, we have the divine opportunity to go it again.
I accept the gift of breath as a gift of life.
Now get out there and get your boogie on.
