My wheatgrass is standing up to cheer for you!
You’ve completed the first week of your fast!
This is no small task.
Fast-A-Palooza Q & A
Alicia from DC writes:
“I’m tired of juice already. I’m going to turn into spinach. I’m not hungry all the time but I do miss food when my boyfriend is eating. Any tips???”
Create “meals” even while fasting. Include soups (if homemade – make them liquid consistency), pureed veggies, and frozen treats during your fast.
You don’t have to drink the same things all the time, unless you like a particular drink or if you live next to a kale farm (my dream).
I buy lot’s of whatever is in season and then grab a few faves.
Be creative and don’t forget to also drink LOTS of water.
Some fasters like to drink a gallon a day.
It’s up to you!
Water will keep you hydrated and flushed with aqua awesomeness.
I drink about 2 liters or more throughout the day.
How about you?
Send me an email and share what you juiced last week or what you’ll be juicing today.
If you have any questions, don’t forget to ask me @ firstname.lastname@example.org

Somewhere a broccoli stem just stood a little taller because of you!
Hot Water with Lemon – wakes up the body in a gentle way
Morning Juice – something with Kale & Cucumber
Pureed Soup – liquid consistency…you can also warm vegetable broth (or make your own) and sip it – will be the best “soup” you’ve ever had.
If you have a hand blender (one of the greatest wedding gifts of all time…), it’s excellent for a quick puree.
Dessert: Water with a drop of stevia – lemon drop or smoothie (no sugar/honey)
Frozen Morning Juice
You can make this in an ice cream maker (cuisanart) or in a sandwich bag.
Add juice, throw it in the freezer, and it’s ready in about 4 hours.
Use the same recipe from “I Heart Carrots,” your own, or anything that tastes good with citrus…they juice really well and you can add the compost left over from the juice.
Here’s the recipe I used for this one from Day 3…
“I Heart Carrots”
4 big happy carrots
1 big beautiful orange
4 kale leaves
1/4 fresh pineapple
Prep your ingredients and juice them in any order. Since 20% of our juices are fruit, this is one that tastes like orange pineapple juice. My kids LOVE it and so do I. Chill a glass (15 minutes), pour, and enjoy!
