I’ve been feeling the need for a short juice fast/detox. So I made a detoxifying juice this morning I call Body Glow. It’s so wonderful it has a video!
Body Glow cleanses, purifies and beautifies your mind, body, and prosperous spirit, from the inside out.
I was craving greens so I added at least 3 (maybe 4) handfuls of spinach. I also added about 1/4 of cabbage to the juice for a big boost of vegetable goodness.
This is a tasty body loving juice that is also excellent…
- for hair growth,
- healing the skin,
- and giving you energy
Make it and tell me what you think!
Here are some additional benefits of Body Glow’s Delicious ingredients:
Packed with Vitamins A, K, C and the feel good B-Vitamins (B1, B2, B3, & B6), the 3 handfuls of spinach in this blend will awaken your body and keep your energy balanced all day (no midday crash)! It’s also a great source of iron and fiber.
Vitamin A helps with cell growth, boosting your immune system, and keeping your skin healthy and vibrant. It also promotes healthy teeth, soft tissue, protects your mucus membranes, and promotes healthy vision. This pro-vitamin also helps maintain the health of your reproductive organs.
Vitamin K is actually a group of fat-soluble compounds (K, K1, K2, K3) that help the body recover from injuries, and prevent excessive bleeding. These vitamin compounds also help carry calcium throughout the body. This helps prevent bone loss and fractures. Vitamin K is most known for it’s ability to help blood clot normally, making this one of the first vitamin shots given to newborns.
Sweet papayas are full of Vitamins A & C, as well as lots of minerals, antioxidants, enzymes and nutrients. The vitamins and minerals in papaya help prevent heart disease, slow the development and growth of cancer, and weakens the effects of aging. My favorite benefit – they help balance blood sugar and provide enough energy for you for the day!
This funky fresh fruit is high in fiber, and Vitamins C & E. Some of it’s other delicious health benefits include:
- reduces high blood pressure
- lowers cholesterol
- has more pectin than an apple which means it’s excellent to relieve constipation…pectin acts as a mild laxative and diuretic
- a great source of energy
- supports bone health reducing the risk of osteoporosis
- boosts the immune system
- reduces the risk of Type 2 Diabetes
- helps reduce cancer risk
Packed with the beloved feel good B-Vitamins, I find it hard to juice without adding at least a 1/2 a cucumber to my blends. They have hardly any taste and hold more water than you’d think just by looking at it. It’s powerful anti-inflammatory properties make this a very gentle, natural diuretic that keeps your belly and intestines happy!
- Vitamin C
- and flavinoids, lignans, and triterpenes (a group of compounds and phytonutrients that have been found to fight and reduce the risk of breast cancer and cancer of the uterus, ovaries, and prostate)
It’s excellent to add to any fruit juice. You won’t know it’s there but your body will:)
